Kenya eTA ( previously the eVisa) for citizens of the Dominican Republic:

From 1 January 2024 the eVisa has been replaced by an eTA (electronic travel authorisation) for travel to Kenya. All visitors* including infants and children who intend to travel to Kenya, must have an approved eTA before the start of their journey.

You're probably wondering if citizens of the Dominican Republic require a Kenya electronic travel authorization (ETA). If you have a Dominican Republic passport, you will need an electronic travel authorization (ETA)a, but it will not be stamped.

You only need a Kenya e-Visa (currently the ETA) , which is much faster and easier to obtain than a Stamped or Paper Visa. The electronic travel authorization (ETA) can be obtained in a matter of minutes without leaving the house! Simply by filling out an online form on your computer or smartphone.

The Kenya eTA, also known as the Electronic Travel Authorization, has replaced the traditional visa application procedure. It functions as an endorsement, allowing tourists to enter and stay in Kenya for up to 90 days. The eTA application procedure is easier, quicker, and more cost-effective than the traditional visa application method.

The Kenyan e-visa for citizens of the Dominican Republic is only valid for a single entry into the country and allows Dominican travelers a stay of up to 90 consecutive days. This means that if the travelers leave Kenya within 90 days, they will need to apply for a new Kenyan ETA in order to return.

The Kenya eTA allows citizens of the Dominican Republic to visit the country for leisure, but also for short-term medical purposes, to see family and friends, or for business reasons.

Citizens of the Dominican Republic visiting the country for other reasons (to live, work, or study, for example), or for longer stays than those permitted with an eTA, are required to visit the Kenya embassy in the Dominican Republic in person to apply for the appropriate long-stay eTA.
